To conclude...

... the course ESS 3: Nutrition/Health is the perfect place to find out what the major health problems are that college students may be facing. This is revealed in the types of questions that students which are asked for the student's own benefit. It is revealed in the focus of Professor Hassemer's lectures, the focus of the questions she asks the entire lecture hall, and revealed in the focus of the assignments that are required for the course. With all of these aspects combined, the course forces students to confront these issues, learn how to deal with them, and then decide whether or not they will take action on it. For myself, I have already applied some of the things I've learned in ESS 3 to my daily life. These aspects include eating right, exercising, and smiling more often. To me, this research paper meant that it's possible for students to better their health in all aspects with just taking this course because it provides students with the basic knowledge of nutrition. Students will come out of this class knowing how to make better, healthier food choices. They will come out of this class understanding what it really means in the long term to eat healthy, exercise, and be less stressed. At the beginning of the course, Professor Hassemer showed the image to the right; which represents all aspects of health and it really had me thinking  wow I've never thought about it that way. I am sure many other students felt the same way. Students deal with many of the different issues including bad eating habits, stress, drug abuse, and alcohol abuse. However, this exposure to nutrition and the accessibility of information on health issues allows college students to confront them and make positive changes.
